Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you sign up, we store a username (your “handle”) and an email address for authentication. We do not ask for or store your real name.

Conversations with Sagist are stored so you can revisit them. Wisdom entries you save are stored against your account. We also collect basic usage analytics (page views, session counts) through Vercel Analytics — this data is anonymised and aggregated.

What we don't collect

We don't collect your real name, location, phone number, or any payment information. We don't sell your data. We don't serve ads.

How your data is used

Your conversations are sent to third-party AI providers (currently OpenRouter and Google Gemini) to generate Sagist's responses. These providers have their own privacy policies. We also run an automated safety check on messages to detect signs of crisis — this is done to protect you, not to profile you.

Data retention

Your conversations and account data are retained for as long as your account exists. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing us.

Cookies

We use a session cookie for authentication. No third-party tracking cookies are set.
